To create a productive work-from-home office in your apartment, you will need to set up a comfortable environment. Here are four tips to help make the most of the space in your apartment home.

  1. Choose the Right Space

Designate a quiet space for your home office to minimize distractions. Many Camden communities have floorplans with designated flex spaces. Camden Town Square has multiple floorplans with a built-in solarium, making it easy to separate work from your living space. Many of apartments at Camden Bay have desk areas already built in, saving you the expense of having to purchase a desk.

2. Setup up Proper Lighting

Position your desk near a window for natural light during the day. Many of Camden Lake Eola’s floorplans offer floor-to-ceiling windows. This perfectly combines natural and artificial light to reduce eye strain. With pool, lake, and city views throughout the community, you’ll be sure to find your preferred scene.

Be sure to ask the leasing team what direction the apartment will be facing to coincide with your productivity levels throughout the day. Many work-from-home residents prefer an apartment facing east so they can utilize the sunrise coming through each morning.

3. Invest in Technology

Ensure you have a reliable internet connection and the necessary technology for your work. Camden offers high-speed internet packages included in our resident’s monthly rent!

4. Move Around

Be sure to incorporate breaks into your schedule. Move around, stretch, and avoid sitting for extended periods. Consider investing in a walking pad to use while working! Or pop into the onsite fitness center on your lunch break. If you’re looking for a change of scenery, try working out of the complimentary resident lounge or poolside. Nothing increases productivity like some Vitamin D!

Keep in mind that everyone’s needs are different, so be sure to find what will work best for you based on your personal preferences and work requirements. Continue to reassess and adjust your setup to keep yourself focused and motivated.
