Beating the Heat
I assume you already know that Arizona can be very hot! This can unfortunately make it challenging to enjoy outdoor plans. My favorite activity that will get you outside before the afternoon heat kicks in is exploring new farmer's markets. Not only will you be up before the intense afternoon sun, but you will also be supporting local businesses close to your home.
Farmers Market North Scottsdale
A great farmer's market close to Camden North End, Camden Foothills, and Camden Legacy Apartments, located in the pristine DC Ranch community, is called the Farmers Market North Scottsdale.
They offer two locations to get your farmers market fix. One is located at 28150 N Alma School Parkway in Scottsdale on Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm. The other is at 1801 N. Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale on Sundays from 10 am-1 pm. Not only are there fresh juices, treats for your dog, and hummus but the convenience of choosing to go on Saturday or Sunday!
Roadrunner Park Farmers Market
Another great farmers market is the Roadrunner Park Farmers Market, which is a few short miles from both Camden San Paloma and Camden Montierra apartment communities.
This one is great for really beating the heat since it starts at 7 a.m. and goes until 10 a.m. It is located at 3502 E Cactus Rd in Phoenix and is filled with local produce, flowers, coffee, and food vendors. In the same park, there are soccer fields, a swimming pool, and a pond to explore.
Downtown Chandler Farmers Market
My last recommended farmers market is the Downtown Chandler Farmers Market. It is located at Dr. A. J. Chandler Park West, Chandler, AZ 85225 on Saturdays in the summer from 7 am to 10 am and October-May from 9 am-1 pm.
This market is just a few short minutes north of Camden Chandler apartments, and offers stands with fresh pastries, dog treats, artwork and my personal favorite- the flowers!
