Experiences are what we pay for. We don’t choose any restaurant to eat at, or any place to live. We choose the one where the atmosphere is great and the experience is outstanding. Looking for an outstanding experience next time you leave your apartment to see a movie? I am going to tell you why Alamo Drafthouse, Corpus Christi’s newest cinema, is the best experience in cinema and dining!

I happened to arrive before they were seating for my movie and pulled up a seat at the bar. Did I say bar? Yes, I did! One of the great experiences that the Alamo Drafthouse has is the selection of beer from both near and far. They create an atmosphere perfect for the new connoisseur of malt and alcohol beverages. I was not sure what beer I wanted to try as they had an array of names colorfully drawn on the board. I asked the bartender for her input and after a few questions about my preferences she quickly gave me 4 or 5 small samples of porter beers.

I ordered my food during the previews and it was delivered shortly after the start of the movie.

All I had to do was:

  1. Write my order down with the pen and paper they provided

  2. Fold it to stand up as a flag

  3. Wait for the waiter.

Simple, and yet it adds to the experience because you are not having to talk during the movie to make sure your order was heard correctly. My pizza, spinach and feta, was delicious.

While they make sure to keep disruptions to a minimum during most showings they do offer a wide variety of productions that involve participation from the audience. Who doesn’t love a good movie party or dance party? I myself can’t wait to attend a signature series event!

Keep in mind that the Alamo Drafthouse is for the movie lover. This is for the person who wants to enjoy the film without disruption. By disruption I am referring to the flashing cell phones that are on “quiet” but are being avidly used for texting or the loud group of friends socializing during the screening. This theater goes as far as creating a “custom preshow with content themed to most of the features” rather than bore you with mundane ads or rotating trivia questions. I love the Alamo Drafthouse for its creative menu options and commitment to the movie goers’ experience. From specialty screenings to cocktails designed to complement new releases there is a ton of thought put into the details all while keeping the experience clean and simple. Speaking of attention to detail, that’s one of the many reasons why our residents choose Camden for their apartment home needs. The best part is the location near all of our Camden communities. The Alamo Drafthouse is down the street from Camden Copper Ridge  and minutes away from Camden Breakers and Camden South Bay.  Our residents are always on the lookout for new and exciting experiences in Corpus Christi and I believe the Alamo Drafthouse has risen to the challenge!

I can’t wait for my next day off to go visit again.

Check out their calendar and catch your next screening today at an Alamo Drafthouse. Over 20 theaters in cities across the nation near Camden communities including Houston, Austin, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, and many more!
