Last night I had the delightful opportunity to see Born Yesterday at the Alley Theatre. I’m so glad I went- the show was a blast! I took a friend that had never been to the Alley before, and here is what she had to say about Born Yesterday:
"The cast was phenomenal. I became engulfed in the characters and really felt their emotions."
"The story line was captivating and had me wondering what was going to happen next. There were no dull moments."
"They had the whole theater laughing and clapping."

I’ve been going to the Alley Theatre for a while, so I expect a good show every time I go. This season, I’ve gone to five different performances, with a different friend each time. It was each of their first time to see a production at the Alley and they all truly enjoyed it. This got me to thinking about how many people are missing out and don’t even know! So I have compiled a list of the top 3 reasons to try the Alley Theatre to help spread the word!
1) You don’t know what you are missing until you experience it
Several of my friends that I took to the Alley told me that they probably would have never gone there if I didn’t take them. Now that they know about the amazing plays the Alley put on, they all told me they would go back. It's fun to try something new. Even if it's not the type of thing you usually do, it doesn't hurt to try it!
2) They have something for everyone
From a classic Shakespearean tale that take you back in time to one of Agatha Christie's murder mysteries that will have you guessing "who done it?", they truly have something for everyone!
3) It's a great place to escape the summer heat
In the hot Houston months, I don't think you can find a better working A/C! It's a great place to stay cool on a hot summer day. It's also refreshing to get a break from technology & notifications, and just enjoy theatre like it's supposed to be enjoyed- screen free.
