Are your Camden Apartment walls in need of a sprucing? This easy DIY Yarn Wall Hanging is what you need! I have broken down how to make this super fun wall hanging fixture into 5 easy steps. What I love most about this craft is the possibilities are endless and the supplies are cheap and easy to come by!
Step 1: Gather your materials
All you need are scissors, yarn, a tree branch, and spray paint.

Step 2: Spray paint the tree branch
I purchased a Rose Gold spray paint for this project, but feel free to buy any color you'd like! Follow the instructions on the label and be sure to use your spray paint in a safe area with no one nearby.

Step 3: Cut the yarn in different lengths and mix up the colors!
I purchased most of my yarn from Michaels but there are endless possibilities out there. One of my all-time favorite yarns is Knit Collage. Using all sorts of different yarn to create your design is where you can be inventive! Have fun with colors, textures, widths, and styles of yarn. You can also play with different lengths of yarn to make different designs. For now, try to keep them all around one length as much as possible, we will trim them in the next step.

Step 4: Trim the bottom of the yarn
For my design I went for more of a bohemian look and kept the yarns at different lengths. A common design is to have the yarn come to a point in the middle, but feel free to follow your design aesthetic.

Step 5: Hang up & enjoy!
Use a piece of your yarn to hang up your finished piece. Choose a place in your apartment where it can be viewed by all! I have mine hanging in my dining room and love to show it off to my guests!

These simple DIY yarn wall hangings make great gifts and are very personable. I have made several for friends and love how each gift is an original. You can make them large or small, the choice is yours! Enjoy your new yarn wall hanging!
