Anyone living in or visiting San Diego needs to take advantage of our amazing cuisine and amazing views, so why not combine the two? Below are a few I feel worthy of checking out, and one (The Fish Market) is mere minutes from one of our communities, Camden Tuscany, which is located right by the beautiful San Diego Bay!

1. Marine Room in La Jolla – This is the only one on my list that I haven’t been able to make it to so I can’t account for the food. This starts off on the fancy end of the list in which you’ll probably easily drop over $100 for two people, but to me, it seems the view alone is worth it. They have high tide dining where the waves are literally hitting again the pane windows where you sit. Not only do you have a view of the ocean but you are part of the ocean as well! This is definitely on my shortlist of restaurants to visit soon.

2. Jakes of Del Mar – Located in Del Mar right on the beach, Jakes has a casual upscale feel. They are owned by the same franchise that owns Dukes so a very similar feel. They have great food and a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. This makes for a very easy walk along the beach after lunch or dinner. You must save room for the Hula Pie for my sake!!

3. The Fish Market in Downtown San Diego – This is one of my ‘go-tos’. Located right on top of the San Diego Bay, The Fish Market gives you several dining options from their upscale dining upstairs at Top of the Market to a little more casual downstairs. I take the lounge option which even though sometimes has a limited menu; it offers the best view in my opinion.

4. Wonderland in Ocean Beach (O.B.) – This was referred to me by a coworker and I’m so glad I gave it a shot. It is across the street from O.B. Pier and the whole side facing the ocean is open up. It is worth waiting for a seat with a view of the ocean. They have a great selection of gourmet pub food and of course a great beer selection. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy one of our famous San Diego sunsets!
