Down on Lower Greenville Avenue, there’s so much to do from exploring new restaurants to live music or grabbing a delicious treat. If you’re looking for a cool date night idea or somewhere to take relatives in town, Lower Greenville is the area to check out. Located about five minutes from Downtown Dallas, there are over 20 local businesses to choose from. Here are a few of my favorite places in Lower Greenville to hang out at and shop around.
The Truck Yard
The Truck Yard has huge open seating, backyard style patio with live music weekly. This place makes fantastic cheesesteaks right off the grill. Visitors also have the chance to sample offerings from different food trucks that come nightly. The Dallas Observer named it one of the top 14 patios in Dallas for Drinking!
This Paleo-inspired restaurant and rooftop bar are one-of-a-kind. I had the opportunity to stop in and eat on the rooftop. Though this was my first time trying a Paleo-inspired menu the food was delicious and affordable! The rooftop was spacious with enough seating for me and my friends with great views of downtown Dallas in the background.
Joy Macaroons
The name says it all! Joy Macaroons has delicious Macaroons, along with t-shirts, cups, and bags. I bought a vanilla bean ice cream macaroon, but my friends bought a 6-pack of different macaroons to eat along the way or save for later.
Steel City Pops
If you aren’t into macaroons, then maybe popsicles are your thing!. Located directly across the street, Steel City Pops offers creamy and fruity popsicles with all-natural ingredients. Grab a cold treat, sit on the patio with friends, and relax under the shade!
Bullzerk
At Bullzerk you will find some of the coolest t-shirts, koozies, coasters and everything in between. Want to show your Dallas pride? This is the place to check out. Don't worry, my Austin and Houston friends, Bullzerk also has some cool shirts for you as well!
Next time you think about trying somewhere new, make sure you think about exploring lower Greenville.
