Looking for a fabulous date night, or perhaps a classy night out with friends? If you’re a Camden resident living in Houston, you will receive an amazing discount on tickets to the newest show at Alley Theatre in Houston. The theatre is proudly presenting the world premiere of Cleo, and it simply can’t be missed!
Written by Lawrence Wright, the play takes audience members back to the Roman set of the film, Cleopatra, in 1962. The captivating story revolves around Elizabeth Taylor and her scandalous romance with co-star Richard Burton during and after the filming of the classic movie. We won’t spoil the story (because you really should see the play), but we will tell you that Cleo focuses on the relationship that received condemnation from the Vatican and the US Congress, opening up the age of paparazzi and tabloid celebrity, ensuring that the names of Taylor and Burton would always be associated with the greatest scandal in Hollywood history. Wright enthralls his audience, humanizing one of the most famous actresses in history, making it easy to understand what she was experiencing emotionally during her very public affair. Cleo is interesting, entertaining, and humorous. Simply Camden bloggers Jodie Gomez and Madi Hayes had a wonderful time, and highly recommend a visit to Alley Theatre for your next night out!

We recommend checking out The Blue Fish. You’ll enjoy the sushi so much; you won’t stop thinking about it for the next week. (Seriously - we’re experiencing that right now!)
