Looking for a way to add a homemade touch to a baby nursery? Try a gallery wall! Here are some great DIY tips on how to create a gallery wall for a baby nursery.
While visiting my pregnant best friend and fellow Camden employee in Texas, I was able to help her with the task of finishing the baby's nursery. Her theme is "Love you to the moon and back" and color choices are mint and lilac with touches of white, grey, silver and gold.
1. Gather inspiration. Several shopping trips and time spent on Pinterest helped us gain inspiration. It is important to keep it budget-friendly. We found these two cute signs at Hobby Lobby, and I decided I could recreate them for less, and also add the homemade touch.
2. Shop for supplies. To recreate the artwork, we needed to stock up on supplies such as paint and brushes.
3. Get crafty. I spent some time outside in the beautiful winter Texas weather painting and creating art.
4. Create the Gallery Wall. This part requires a hammer, drill, and patience. In our case, it also required help from the husband to hang things that were too high for my 5'4" stature. I chose a layout found on Pinterest for inspiration, and we created the wall. The key to a fantastic gallery wall is to add a mix of art, hooks, and shelves.
