Camden Cares is more than just two words to us: It’s a lifestyle! Throughout the country, Camden invests in the communities around us to provide support and give back to our neighbors. This spring, our Camden teams in Denver and other local multifamily housing companies partnered with the Apartment Association of Metro Denver (AAMD) for their annual Apartments Giving Back Day!

This year, 175 volunteers, 13 of which were Camden team members, contributed 875 hours of hard work to spruce up the local Family HomeStead communities that provide transitional housing to families who have experienced homelessness. Family HomeStead, founded in 1978, remains the only Denver agency that provides emergency and transitional housing in individual units solely for families with children.

It was an immense honor for our team to serve the Family HomeStead communities by completing landscaping, furniture breakdown, general cleaning, and making five homes ready for incoming residents.

Making a difference in the Denver community that we serve never fails to leave us with a sense of gratitude for the opportunities we have to give back, but seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they played in the freshly cut grass was a rewarding conclusion to a hard day’s work.
