Brunch. A simple six-letter word that we can all agree that we are a fan of. Where else is it acceptable to drink champagne with breakfast at twelve in the afternoon? With the help of my fellow Atlanta Camdenites, these are the favorite brunch spots in some of Camden Atlanta's neighborhoods.
If you are in the Dunwoody area, la Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe, and Egg Harbor are the neighborhood picks. They are both short drives from Camden Dunwoody and Camden Creekstone. la Madeleine has some of the best fresh baked goods in Atlanta, and a delicious country French breakfast menu. Egg Harbor's menu features something for everyone, features local organic food, a kids menu, and a gluten-free menu. Both eateries have locations in several Atlanta neighborhoods.
If you are in the Downtown or West Midtown neighborhoods, be sure to check out R.Thomas' Deluxe Grill, Highland Bakery, and Cafe` 458 Brunch. You can't miss the R. Thomas' Deluxe Grill. In an urban landscape, this oasis in the city features lush gardens and tropical birds. Not to mention a menu that will cater to any dietary preferences. Highland Bakery has several locations in Atlanta. You can get some pretty amazing coffee, fresh-baked bread, and a high-end twist on southern cuisine. At Cafe` 458 Brunch, you'll be brunching for a cause. The restaurant is solely staffed by volunteers. All proceeds go to support the programs of the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency. And you can get some pretty banging sweet potato pancakes and chicken and waffles. All three eateries are in Camden Fourth Ward, Camden Vantage, and Camden Brookwood neighborhood.
In the Buckhead neighborhood of Camden Paces, South City Kitchen and Another Broken Egg are a couple of favorites. At South City Kitchen you can enjoy award winning meals on the double-decker patio, inside the dining room, or even a private room for special occasions. After brunch, be sure to enjoy a specialty crafted bourbon by the outdoor fireplace. Shrimp and Geechee Boy Grits are to die for. Another Broken Egg is one of my personal favorites because everything they serve is delectable. Order something new every visit, you'll be happy you did.
Down on the Southside of Atlanta, is Camden Stockbridge and a couple of great spots for brunch. Gritz Family Restaurant, located on the McDonough Square, serves up southern cuisine fast by friendly folks. Fun fact: it's a hot spot for a celebrity sighting. French Market & Tavern, located in Locust Grove, features a broad brunch menu that is sure to please every palette.
As you can see, no matter what Camden community you choose to live in, there are some great places to brunch in every neighborhood.
