Atlanta residents rejoice, there is an amazing new park for you to explore! Westside Park, which opened on Friday, August 20th is now the largest park in the city of Atlanta and is just a quick walk, drive, or bike ride away from your Camden apartment home!

Once a granite quarry that didn’t allow any pedestrian explorers, Westside Park is now a bustling recreational area for all of Atlanta’s residents with 280 acres of park and greenspace. It also will still use that quarry and reservoir as a critical backup source of drinking water for the city.

Westside Park will connect to the Atlanta Beltline’s Westside Trail, another step in the ever expanding and all-inclusive Beltline, uniting the city in a way that’s never been done before. Inside the park, you’ll find walking and bicycle trails, open green spaces, playgrounds, pavilions, and a breath-taking overlook to the quarry and reservoir.

There are also multiple educational facilities and event venues so we will surely see many field trips and community festivals in the park soon! Your Camden team will keep you posted on all the fun events on the Community Activity wall on MyCamden.com.

Even more growth is expected in the area because Microsoft will be opening a massive campus just south of the park. This new development will bring new jobs to existing Atlanta residents and bring new faces to Atlanta and new neighbors to meet in our beautiful Camden apartments!
