I love working for Camden because we often get the opportunity to help out at other communities in need. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a day working at Camden College Park for a day last week.
When I first drove up to the property I immediately was drawn in by the giant IKEA store within walking distance. Literally it will take you 2 minutes to walk to the store and have everything you need for your new apartment home. (Side note- I went there and shopped during my lunch break) After the initial shock of my favorite Swedish furniture store, I gazed at the property that I would be spending the day at. The leasing office features a rounded shaped brick wall with the giant silver CAMDEN logo. From the mere look at the entrance, you can tell that this is the place to live in College Park, Maryland. I spent my day under the leadership of Community Manager, Verleacha and Assistant Manager, Laura. Elizabeth, the property’s Leasing Consultant was there to teach myself and other visitor, Alyeisha the ropes. Elizabeth was great in showing up the community’s amenities. The property features a WiFi café and a conference room, which are perfect for any resident who would like to telecommute- a popular career perk in those working in the DMV area. The fitness studio not only has several pieces of cardio equipment and free weights, but also has CAMDEN yoga mats and a rock climbing wall!
I was able to tour a few of their many floor plans. The yellow painted walls, wood cabinetry, and open layouts immediate made me want to sign a lease. Closet space is plentiful and balcony space is another perk. I am partial to a red painted door, which was the first one we saw. Camden College Park features two large, gated parking garages. They also have several themed courtyards including a dog park, outdoor fitness park, playground, and bocci ball court. The landscaping is beautiful and the property is well maintained.
Though most of my day was spent indoors making phone calls, the times I was out on the property made it worthwhile. I even had an adventure of getting lost showing a girl around the property, but fortunately, the great team at College Park was able to guide us back. My day was amazing, and I had such a blast spending time with the other girls of Camden. I learned that each state and even each community at Camden have differences, and that change can be a good thing. You can tell easily the passion behind the team at Camden College Park, and the pride that Verleacha and crew have in their home away from home. This is just one of the many properties that exude Living Excellence.
