The holiday season is upon us! Soon you will be inviting your family and friends into your Camden apartment home to celebrate the season. Along with great food, you must have some amazing holiday cocktails to serve your guests!

Mulled Wine

Make this batch ahead of time and enjoy a rooftop kickback with your favorite Camden neighbors. Take in the city views and sip on something that tastes like the holidays.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups apple cider

  • 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 3 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 orange, zested and juiced

  • 4 whole cloves

  • 2 oranges sliced

  • 4 oranges, peeled, for garnish

Instructions:

Combine the cider, wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, zest, juice, cloves, and oranges in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour into glasses, add an orange peel to each and serve.

Gingerbread Martini

A perfect holiday season staple that everyone will enjoy. I love the smell and taste of all things gingerbread. It is the perfect cocktail to serve at your holiday party at your Camden apartment.

Ingredients:

1 oz. vodka

1 oz. Irish Cream liqueur

½ oz. Kahlúa liqueur

½ oz. Monin gingerbread syrup

½ scoop vanilla ice cream — semi-melted

1 Gingerbread cookie crumbled into fine pieces

Instructions:

Dampen the rims of a martini glass and line the rim with the cookie crumbles. Mix vodka, Irish Cream, Kahlua, gingerbread syrup and semi-melted ice cream over ice. Shake well, pour into your chilled gingerbread cookie rimmed martini glass.

Peppermint Shake Cocktail

This adult milkshake cocktail is perfect for all of you peppermint lovers! You can even add some chocolate chips to make it even sweeter.

Ingredients:

  • 4 candy canes, broken into pieces

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream

  • 1 cup strawberry ice cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 tablespoons fine sugar

  • 3 ounces Peppermint Schnapps

  • Candy cane, to garnish

Instructions:

Place candy canes, ice cream, milk, sugar and Schnapps into a blender. Blend until well combined. Pour into two glasses. Add a candy cane to garnish.
